
The group's regional trading operations across the Levant countries (Syria and Lebanon) mounted to 1 million tons in 2006, which were carried out through arrangements with the Egypt-based trading company.
At present, and following the incorporation of Dubai-based "spark" company; the regional trading hub which was established in late 2006 and licensed in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), the group's regional operations in Levant countries, and potentially other countries such as Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia, shall be arranged and overseen through the newly established regional hub.
The three companies are wholly owned and managed by El Gamil family, with no institutional or fund ownership in the group.
